I have decided to push myself by participating in The Year of Jewelry Project. The idea is to create one piece of jewelry every week during 2013. A list of themes for the week is given, but that part is optional.
Here is my week 1 piece. The theme was renewal.
When I look at this it reminds me of a stormy day at the beach. The waves crashing break up the shells and make more sand, renewing the beach. Okay, it's a bit of a stretch for the theme, but at least I got a piece done for the week.
Week theme for week 2 is Grace, so I'm thinking some swirling wire work would be perfect.

I can see the same thing you see...the sand with a small piece of shell sticking out, the foamy wave washing over the sand and the dark stormy sky. I think it is a perfect piece, can't wait to see what the rest of the year has to bring.
ReplyDeleteI always do the same with jasper--imagine some scene that goes with what I see! How nice to see you do the same! I love what you did with this piece!
